This 7-screen, 1,350-seat multiplex also includes a public car park and a bus station with 2 transit platforms. From the design, we participated in the implementation of an HQE approach thanks to the presence of photovoltaic panels on the roof and the choice of noble and durable materials.

Methodology

Tisseyre + Associés has 40 years of experience in room acoustics. 30 years ago, anticipating the shift to digital and 3D visualization, we developed tools and methods to optimize room acoustic solutions. Based on the observation that the acoustics of a cinema hall are structuring for its architecture, we have developed a joint working methodology with the architect so that the acoustic solutions are integrated. Our global acoustic approach taking into account the acoustic performance of the room, its insulation vis-à-vis the outside as well as its sound system from the design phase makes it possible to meet the need for sound immersion of users.

Tasks

Acoustic performance of the room

Thanks to our 3D modeling tool, Hall Acoustics®, we can model with finesse the architectural choices of the volume, shapes, materials and moldings of cinemas so that they participate fully in their acoustic performance. For the sound and visual images to overlap perfectly, we check:

  • The sound homogeneity of the room: we create rooms that are sufficiently clear to guarantee good sound coverage.
  • The sharpness of the sound image by integrating the sound system from the design of the room.

Insulation between rooms

Our PIAA softwareYOUR makes it possible to predict the acoustic performance of the walls according to their compositions. Thus, we can free ourselves from the test reports of the structures while obtaining the performance of the minimum sound reduction index targeted. Our site mission supported the company in optimizing envelopes.

Vibration isolation

Due to the bus station below the multiplex and the nearby TGV Sud-Est track, the multiplex had to be isolated from vibrations. Thanks to our R&D, we have developed unique technical solutions in the protection against vibrations: structural impedance breaking. The acoustic trenches serve as a buffer between the vibration emission zone and the receiver. This innovation not only reduces work time but also costs.
